Rhodes Avenue serves part of Wood Green, close to Alexandra Palace and Muswell Hill. The school has a very stable community (94.2% stability),* pupil mobility is low. The school’s proportion of ethnic minority pupils (42.2%)* is higher than the national average (31.6%) and also pupils whose first language is believed not to be English (22.8%)* is greater than the national figure (20.1%)*. The percentage of pupils known to be eligible for free school meals (FSM) is 6.3%. much lower than the national picture (25.2%)*.

Rhodes Avenue School benefits from spacious grounds and outdoor spaces. The children are accommodated in a range of buildings: the Foundation Stage building for the nursery and reception children, the Key Stage 1 building for Years 1 and 2 and the Key Stage 2 building for Years 3 to 6. We also have two additional buildings that provide the following facilities – a media/computing suite, an art room, a full time Nursery and an After-school club (15:30 – 18:00).
We currently have three forms of entry up to and including Year 5, with 672 pupils on the school roll and by September 2017 Year 6 will complete the expansion development with three classes.
Children in our Nursery have the allocated 15 hours per week (morning/afternoon sessions). However we are offering parents/carers the opportunity to extend the allocated to hours to 30+ hours per week. From September 2017 we are offering 30 places at 15 hours per week and 30 places at 30 hours per week, plus having full access to before and after school facilities.
