Rhodes Avenue Primary School serves part of Wood Green, close to Alexandra Palace and Muswell Hill, it is a three form entry school and currently has 693 children on roll. The school has a very stable community, pupil mobility is low at 3.3%, when compared to the national figure (14%)*. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals (FSM) is 2% which is well below the national figure (31%)* and our Pupil Premium figure is 7%. The percentage of children with special educational needs is 14%, compared to (17%)* nationally and children with English as an additional language is slightly above the national figure at 21% (20%)*. The percentage of children born in the following seasons: Summer 37% (34%)*, Spring 30% (33%)* and Autumn 30% (34%)* are roughly in line with national demographic trends and boys represent 58% (51%)* of the school population and girls at 42% (49%)*.

Rhodes Avenue School benefits from spacious grounds and outdoor spaces. The children are accommodated in a range of buildings: the Foundation Stage building for the full time nursery and reception children, the Key Stage 1 building for Years 1 and 2 and the Key Stage 2 building for Years 3 to 6. We also have two additional buildings that provide the following facilities – a media/computing suite, an art room, a dedicated music space, a part time Nursery and an After-school club (15:30 – 18:00).
The school has two Nurseries, one part time offering 15 hours (morning sessions 8.45-11.45) (Kingfisher Nursery) and the other for 30 hours (9.00-15.00) (Hedgehog Nursery).
