Rhodes Avenue Primary School serves part of Wood Green, close to Alexandra Palace and Muswell Hill. It is a three form entry school and currently has 701 children on roll. The school has a very stable community and pupil mobility is low at 3.3%, when compared to the national figure (14%)*. The percentage of pupils eligible for free school meals (FSM) is 2% which is well below the national figure (31%)* . The percentage of children with special educational needs is 14%, compared to (17%)* nationally and children with English as an additional language is slightly above the national figure at 21% (20%)*.

Rhodes Avenue School benefits from spacious grounds and outdoor spaces. The children are accommodated in a range of buildings: the Foundation Stage building for one nursery class and our Reception children, the Key Stage 1 building for Years 1 and 2 and the Key Stage 2 building for Years 3 to 6. We also have two additional buildings that provide the following facilities – a media/computing suite, an art room, a dedicated music space and a second nursery classroom.
The school has two Nurseries and we offer both full and part time places. Children are able to access either 15 hours of provision (2 ½ days per week) or 30 hours of provision for the core hours of 9am -3pm. Extended provision is also available for our nursery children before and after school.
The School’s extended day provision runs from 07.40 am until 18.00 Monday-Friday. Visit our After School Club page for greater detail. The extended team also run a wonderful enrichment and holiday camp enabling the school to stay open for 48 weeks of the school year.
